Islands.com Visited Crescent Fish Camp!
Travel site Islands sent writer Brandy Jo Hastings to Crescent City, Florida, and she spent her time at Crescent Fish Camp doing more or less what we hope everybody does. The piece ran October 5, 2026.
She covered the cottages and tiny homes, the pool and the clubhouse, the fitness room, the fenced dog area, and the fishing pier. On the water side she got the boat ramp, the wet slips, the fuel station, and the bait shop, plus the local guides who run private charters out of here. She also pointed out something we do not say often enough: 3 Bananas and The Lochside are both close enough to reach by boat.
Our favorite part is the reason she gave for not getting around to everything on the property.
“The very ‘oh-so-Florida’ reason? I was too busy hanging out on the dock and snapping pictures of a small alligator swimming in the lake.”
That is Crescent Lake in one sentence. Fifteen thousand nine hundred and sixty acres of it, connected to the St. Johns, and most days the biggest decision you make is whether to get in the boat or stay on the dock.
