Wilderness Cove Campground: A New Destination for Camping, Glamping, and Adventures.

“Wilderness Cove Campground may be a new player in the camping industry, but the Saluda, North Carolina park is already proving to be an outdoor recreation destination, with various recreation opportunities to be had on-site.”

“When Wilderness Cove opened for business in June 2021, campers were treated to various outdoor recreation opportunities, such as access to 18,000 acres of game preserve, hiking trails, water sports, and camping.

For the 2023 season, guests will have more accommodation options to choose from. In the upcoming season, the campground will have primitive camping, RV camping, glamping, and tiny home offerings for nightly, weekly, and monthly stays.”

Green River Narrows Race: The Best, Muddiest Glamping Weekend Ever.

“However, if you’re 36 years old, a light sleeper, and/or traveling with a dog that doesn’t like other dogs, OR if the idea of a naked man sprinting by your sleeping bag with a trailing, fiery tail of toilet paper fluttering from his ass gives you pause, I highly, highly recommend booking a glamping tent at the Wilderness Cove Campground across the street. (Literally, it’s about a one-minute walk, and you can enjoy the live music at a comfortable and non-sleep-prohibitive volume.). We went for the Double Glamping Tent because our friends were traveling with us, and it was amazing. The tents are clean, the beds are comfortable, the shared common area made for an amazing breakfast and hangout spot, and we had electrical outlets and a bathhouse instead of a portapotty. Best of all, since it rained all weekend, our campground did not disintegrate into a giant mud pit.”

Wilderness Cove Campground: Transforming An Outdoor Adventure Retreat, with Andrew Garcia

“In this episode I sit down with Andrew Garcia, who is the Managing Partner of Outdoor Adventure Partners. His company purchased the Wilderness Cove Campground along the lower Green River last Thanksgiving, and immediately began making improvements to the property in January of this year.

We talk in depth about the new vision for this property and their desire to be good stewards of the land and be involved in the tight knit Green River Cove community. We also talk about all of the amazing improvements made so far, as well as some of the amazing features and amenities coming to the property in the near future.

Situated at the base of the Green River Gorge, and adjacent to the Green River Game Lands, Wilderness Cove truly offers something for the whole family. And, one of the best things about this area is that it is far less crowded than many of the other popular destinations in the Blue Ridge Mountains.”
